Hi friends,
I’m thrilled to announce the tour for my forthcoming memoir SLIP! The book, which will be published on August 5, has been such a long time in the making. I started conceiving of it when I was a teenager, always hoping it would one day become a reality. To know that it will finally be out in the world feels incredibly special.
Once SLIP is published, it will no longer be “my book” alone; it will be yours too. I see my book tour as the ultimate way of being in community and in conversation with readers. This is important to me on many levels, partly because I want to hold space for more honest conversations about eating disorders and the nuances of recovery.
That said, I hope you will join me on my book tour! Most of the tour events will follow a similar format: a conversation partner will interview me about SLIP, followed by an audience Q&A and a book signing. Here are the cities and independent bookstores where I’ll be stopping:
In addition to these in-person stops, I’ll be doing several virtual talks for universities and journalism organizations. I’d love to also do some Zoom drop-ins for book clubs that want to read SLIP. If you’d like me to visit your book club sometime later this summer/early fall, please take a moment to fill out this form.
Below, I’ve listed more details about my in-person book tour stops, along with related event pages. Some of the bookstores ask that you RSVP, and most ask that you consider pre-ordering so they’ll know how many copies to make available. If you plan to attend one of these events and haven’t already pre-ordered, I encourage you to do so. It will be a show of support not just for me but also for your local bookstore!

I thought it would also be fun to highlight some of my book tour graphics (provided, for the most part, by the bookstores themselves). I love that each one has its own unique look and feel.

Can't wait to see you at Book People!
What an all-star lineup! I’m so impressed!!
