Will there be an Audio book version? I would love to read this but I digest nonfiction much better that way.

This is very clever. I've been noodling on an idea for a memoir-slash-researched biography, but I've only ever written novels and I haven't been able to hack my way into a structure for a book-length nonfiction project yet. Saving this for future consideration! (And excited for your book!)

I'm glad you're saving this post for future consideration, and I hope your memoir ends up coming to fruition! Happy to be a resource if/when you move forward with it.

I hope you enjoy SLIP!

Thank you for sharing this behind-the-scenes of how you structured your memoir. My husband and I are writing a dual-voice (is that a term?) memoir of interfaith marriage, relationships, childrearing, etc. I'm considering adding other voices, too, while (like you said) keeping us as the main characters, each with sometimes different perspectives from this 34-year experience.

I love the sound of your book! Hopefully this post can provide some inspiration as you think about how to weave together your two voices (and possibly others). Happy to be a resource as you move forward with it!

Mallory, your taking the time to share these kind of behind the scenes, how it came together, how you made your vision reality, is so helpful. I know I’m thinking out of the box in terms of what I’d like to accomplishment with my current writing project and your sharing of these details gives me great confidence in making it happen. Thank you and congrats.
